It wouldn't shock me if someone had the Beatles names tattooed for real on their arms. :) I am too scared to get a tattoo myself, but I have seen some pretty impressive Beatles ones on some people. These girls were ahead of their time.
My 10th-grade English teacher was a teenager in the sixties. He said that a girl in his class was such a fan that she wrote Paul McCartney's name on her arm in ink and then "tattooed" herself by poking the ink over and over with a sewing needle.
She'd be in her mid-60s now. Wonder if she still has it?
