Almost a McCartney
This letter is currently available for bid on ebay. I think it is a pretty neat piece of Beatles/McCartney history. As a teacher, I can only imagine how difficult it was for Heather to adjust to a new school not just in a new town, but in a new country. I am glad that her former teacher says here that Linda and Paul were involved in her education and helping her adjust. Maybe bringing the class pet, Snowy, home for the weekend was a special treat for young Heather.

This makes me like Paul/Linda more.
ReplyDeletetry rover? very silly for official notification
ReplyDeleteAw, he lets Heather sign as well!
ReplyDelete"Try Rover", I thought that was pretty funny.
I'm sure the teacher and Macca had met by this point, attending the parent-teacher conferences. I know, I know, this doesn't match with the "Paul and Linda were terrible parents" meme (look how crippled inside they all are!), but I'll take the teacher's word for it.
Adorable, thanks for posting Sara Schmidt!
I don't get it with the supposed "Paul and Linda were terrible parents meme". What do you mean?
Deleteshouldn't be surprised about this being sold on ebay because paul equals bucks but somehow think this was a private matter concerning young heather
ReplyDeleteglad to see they were truly interested in heather's adjustment then; I remember sometime afterwards in London on Cavendish that the young Mary was half clothed running all over the neighborhood by herself which really surprised me and was very lucky that no one hurt or kidnapped her
