  2. I too think it's a great photo! In fact, I KNOW it's a great photo!!!!!

Thanks, Dave!!!! (got your book for Christmas, loved it! Though it ended just as it was beginning, you swine!!! You got me hooked! Can't wait for the next one!!! :D)

PS: On top of all the Beatle stuff, so much other stuff caught my eye. Like you worked with Tull on the Passion Play tour! What the heck was that like! My uncle told me that was the most emotional show he'd ever seen. And Crimson!

Something I love about your attitude is this: after the Beatles, rock started fracturing into all these sub-genres and "cliques" started to emerge. I remember my art rock uncle despising The Allman Brothers. My Joni/Carole/Jackson/et al - loving Aunt didn't dig Zeppelin. It's only gotten worse since, with the snobby 80s underground sub-genres....and the hilarious "genres" of electronic dance music, all with their own "label".

But you seem to have had such a great appreciation for ALL of the music back then, and you appreciated it as it happened (not discovering it later!). I did too, and I think I know why! We were Beatle fans! The scope of the Beatles' music made us open-minded to all other forms of music, from the poppiest of pop....to the most way-out of avant garde! Hard rock, soft rock, psychedelic rock......Indian music....and music from the 20s. Even some classical and jazz. Rhythm, melody and harmony. They had it all. The Beatles are the doorway into every other music!

    Great book....and great picture!
