Murray the K and friends

Caption: John Lennon and Ringo Starr with Jimmy Henny and Murray the K at Roy Orbison B'day Party in Soho, NYC 04-24-1964

Really???  The Beatles were in New York in April of 1964?  I don't think so.   Most likely taken at one of the clubs like the Peppermint Twist in Feb 1964.

*Please note that this is an Imagecollect photo and the rights to this photo were purchased by me to be shared on the Meet the Beatles for Real blog.    Please do not share this photo on any tumblr, facebook, reddit, flickr, etc blog or site.    I am sorry, but at least you can enjoy it here!

  1. Murray visited the Beatles on the set of "A Hard Day's Night," and I believe also attended the taping of the "Around the Beatles" TV special.

Perhaps this image was shot in the UK then ??

  2. 24.04.1964 John Lennon and Ringo Starr at a party held at the La Dolce Vita Restaurant in London's Soho

    1. Now this makes a lot more sense than them being in New York. I know Murray the K traveled to London in the spring of 1964, so yes..that fits very well.

  3. That being the case: when did Sid Bernstein bring to Shea and Carnegie Hall?
