Sweet nothings

This is an interesting photo.   Who is the barely dressed woman whispering sweet nothings into Paul McCartney's ear?   What occasion was this?  It must be 1965 because John is wearing his "Rubber Soul" jacket.    And also who is "Uncle Jack?"

  2. It's on Heatrow Airport on the 2nd of September of 1965, when they come back from the 65 US tour.

I've anothe rphoto in the airport with exactly the sames clothes.

I suppose it's inside the airport where people and press wait for them...

  4. This photo was taken at the Cabana Hotel in San Francisco on September 1, 1965. They had just finished up the tour at the Cow Palace the night previous. I have other images of them leaving through the back door of the Cabana wearing the exact clothes. They were heared into a freight truck and transported to SF International for the flight home to London. The Cabana was a hotel with Romanesque features and, the owner, Jay Sarno used those features at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. The girl kissing the Beatles is also dressed in some sort of Romanesque "Toga." You can read about it in my book, Some Fun Tonight!

  6. The thing is that the Beatles didn't do a press conference when they arrived back at Heathrow after the 1965 US tour. In fact they were driven off the tarmac and didn't even enter the airport terminal as their passports etc were done either on the plane or on the airport bus. It was very early in the morning of 2 September when they arrived back and cold. Could this be at Los Angeles airport when they were about to fly home on September 1st? It would make more sense judging by the clothes the people (including Alf Bicknell in the background) are wearing?

  8. This is at the Cabana Hotel in San Francisco on September 1. They are just about to walk out the back entrance to a freight truck that took them to San Francisco Airport. The owner of the Cabana was Jay Sarno and built the hotel around a Romanesque theme, thus the girl wearing a Toga type outfit. I featured their departure from the hotel in my book and they are wearing the same clothes.

  9. Looks like they had a really GOOD time while there too! Don't you want to see all those hotel photos of them while they were on tour? Supposedly all of the Beatles boinked a lot of women while touring...so where are they and how come they've never uttered a word of their encounters with the Beatles????

  12. This was the Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto, not San Francisco. They stayed here during their August 31, 1965 concert at the Cow Palace. Here’s a link to a whole article on this hotel stay by the Beatles: http://www.paloaltohistory.org/palo-altos-beatlemania.php
