Just a photo of the time that Ringo went down to South Africa to participate in a celebrity tennis match. (okay....that has to be one of the strangest bit of Beatles trivia ever!)
September 25, 1975: Ringo flies to Johannesburg in South Africa and participates in a “Celebrity Tennis Tournament” along with Peter Lawford, Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones. Ringo and all the other guests stay at the Die Landdrost Hotel which is also hosting Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor who are about the be re-married. It was reported that Ringo also attended their wedding ceremony which takes place at the Chobe Game Reserve in Botswana soon afterwards.
