50 Years ago today the Beatles were quite busy with a day-long press conference at the Plaza hotel. Here are some of my favorite photos from the press reception that followed.
I have a question which hopefully can be answered - regarding the Plaza Hotel press meet pics above. Was there a break in proceedings at some point - i.e. was there a day and evening session? The reason I ask is George is wearing different clothes. In most of the photos and footage I've seen from this day (February 10, 1964) George is wearing no shirt and tie but a dark sweater under his jacket (as in bottom pic). Any help appreciated.
I'm surprised George was even there, considering how ill he was at the time. Poor Fabs, they were really subjected to some tiresome situations, hanging out with all those squares.
