Is it possible he's wearing the same shirt he wore in the Paperback Writer & Rain promo clips? It's fairly distinctive being a pullover and having that ginormous collar with rounded points. Anyway it's certainly much more 1966 style than something from circa 1980.
It could be the same shirt. You know Paul always kept his clothing and rewore it many years later. But since he is holding James, it has to have been 1979 or 1980.
