Yes! That is who I was thinking of but couldn't think of his name! I kept thinking "Ian" something but no no...it is Ivan Vaughan! Not that I am totally sure that is who it is, but that is who I was thinking of. Thank you Cara!!
Well I know that....he and Paul share the same birthday. He is the "it's my birthday too yeah" guy. You have to forgive me. I have been sick the past few days and my mind isn't working right. Why was he hanging around Paul's house in the late 1960's and is that cute little guy his son?
Wait..it is starting to come back to me. Ivan worked for Apple during this time frame. The Beatles were going to start up an Apple School and he had something to do with it (explains the young boy), but that never took off. I remember reading about this in one of those books about Apple (maybe Apple to the Core?)
No, please forgive ME, Sara! I read what you wrote incorrectly. I thought you wrote, "Not that I'm totally sure who that is..." So sorry!
Yes, he was an Apple employee, and he and Paul were good friends. We should ask Lizzie, but I think he used to hang out at Cavendish quite a bit at that time.
Also, his wife who I believe was a French teacher, helped Paul with the French translations in Michelle. Yes Ivan was pretty close to Paul (and John) until Ivan's death in 1991. Paul has said that it was Ivan's death(from Parkinson's) that inspired him to start writing poetry.
Looks a little like Ivan Vaughan?

DeleteLOL, Sara! Ivan Vaughan is only the person responsible for introducing John and Paul back in 1957. I call him St. Ivan. ;-)
