Tumblr claims that this is a photo of Paul taken the day he got his famous sheepdog, Martha. He is holding Martha as a puppy and the dog on the ground next to him is Martha's mom. I can't tell what type of dog Paul is holding, so I am not sure if it is true or not. Regardless what dog Paul is holding, it is a really sweet photo.
I've never seen this photo before- how great! If it's really what that person said it was, then it's a great moment in Beatles history. If that's really Martha Paul is holding, then I see why he was inspired to write the song. I have to do a cover songs version of that someday!
