German audience
This audience in Germany in 1966 seem to be very calm, don't you think? Where are the girls fainting? Where are the kids trying to sneak up on the stage? This is an interesting shot. Also I love the green Beatle suits.

I read that the security was brutal during the German tour. If anyone got out of line, they were beaten. The Beatles were horrified by the treatment of the fans at those concerts.
ReplyDeleteThey were not brutal inside the venues. I know there was at the time a large paper feature in the UK or US but that story belonged to riots AFTER the Hamburg show in the city.
ReplyDeleteThis shot is Munich afternoon show and the Munich fans were mainly older than the average US or UK fans... And some were really old ;-)
