Blue cap

Photo:  Morgan Richards

I spotted this  top photo on the Lennon facebook page today.  It is a beautiful photo and so much clearer than the other photos taken on this day.     I really like the blue cap on John.   John always knew how to make a hat look good.

  1. Gorgeous fan photos. John was such a handsome man. The cap looks like the one he used to wear in '74, too. It's pretty rare for John to look similar to the way he had looked three years previous... he was always changing his look.

  2. Hi there...The photos of John wearing his cap were taken at the DeMille Theater in NYC 1972. It was the movie premiere of "The Concert for Bangladesh'. John, Yoko and Jerry Rubin caught the 2nd showing of the movie. Luckily I pushed my way in and made sure I was behind John until he found seats. He chose the balcony and when the lights went down, Jerry lit up a joint which they passed between John and him covered by a bag of popcorn lol. As if the smell didn't give them away. John enjoyed the movie, he made little comments to both Jerry and to Yoko...the best comment was when John seemed to notice that George had his teeth fixed...He leaned over to Yoko and said 'He never did like those'...He seemed to enjoy the music a lot, he was tapping his hand against the armrest between the seats. When the movie ended, they quickly made their getaway and drove back to Bank Street via the West side. It was an awesome evening to say the least.
