Art Festival

Thanks goes out to parlance Ken Wood who helped answer the question about this guy and why Paul was at his Art Festival.    It appears that John Eades hung out around Cavendish in 1968 and weaseled his way into the gates and badgered Paul into going to his event to publicize the Art Festival he was having.   Paul didn't seem too happy about doing it, but he did show up.   Not a bad scheme on John Eades part.   What better publicity in 1968 than to have one of the Beatles at your event?   I wonder what became of John Eades.

  1. You're very welcome. I wonder what became of Eades too. That was a very impressive stunt to pull.

And if it weren't for him, we wouldn't have some of my favorite photos of Paul. :->

  2. Thanks! But I just had some half-remembered info in the back of my brain and the internet filled in the rest (like so often)!
