That is Jack Good, TV producer/director supreme, creator of British shows Six-Five Special, Oh! Boy and others, and US show Shindig. He also made Around The Beatles. The photo was taken on the set of Shindig, London, October 1964. Jack Good and John Lennon were kindred spirits and good friends, rockers and shockers. Yeah John doesn't seem to be looking at Jack. If you follow his gaze he is looking at the soundman wearing ear phones, who seems to be saying something to him. Or perhaps something has caught his eye, over the sound man's shoulder.
