Wearing Dad's sweater

I might have mentioned that I won several lots from Backstage Auction for Beatles photos a few months ago.  Some of them include copyright (yep....I can post photos on my blog that I own without asking anyone).   One of them is this one of Sean from 1991 wearing a red sweater.   The first thing I thought was that he was wearing his Father sweater.   I am not sure if it is the exact same sweater, but it sure does look similar!

  1. I've noticed Sean wear a lot of John's old clothes. At first I thought it was sweet, but now I just find it creepy.

  3. I don't think Sean would fit into John's clothes anymore unless he could find some from the 1965 "fat Beatle". Not to say Sean is fat. He's about average or a little bit heavier but John was very thin those last few years.

  4. The photo of John and Yoko is not The Hit Factory. It's actually the Record Plant at 321 W44th, NYC, where John was recording at the time of his death. The photo was taken by Bob Gruen, around November 1980, a few weeks beforehand. I know it's the Record Plant because I have a photo of myself at the recording desk in the same room, with my cousin Eddie Kramer (who engineered All You Need Is Love and Baby You're A Rich Man), and which was taken a couple of months before. There is also another black and white photo by Bob Gruen from that session, with John and Yoko looking at the camera. He's wearing the same clothes, and has his feet on the desk!
