You know I am skeptical about a lot of things. And I am not 100% sure this is John Lennon's autograph. Also if "John" did not say anything to this young man, how did he know to write "to John" in the notebook? However, I just thought I would post this because if it is true, then it is a super cute story.
I'm no handwriting expert by a longshot, but the "J" & "L" look inconsistent with almost all the other verified (i.e. - not written by Neil or Mal) John autographs I've seen. Also, he almost always joined the "N" in "John" with the "L" in "Lennon."
ReplyDeleteI think this guy's either lying or some poor unsuspecting lookalike didn't want to hurt a kid's feelings & signed it as John!
Who knows though, John could have signed it at an awkward angle and it came out funny. My verdict: FAKE!
