Little Child


This cute little girl seems too shy to go up to the Beatles.

    I love these Daily Record newspaper pics of the Beatles arriving at a blustery Turnhouse Airport, Edinburgh, Scotland on April 29, 1964. (see Brian Epstein poking his head around in the third one). Can you imagine today's megastars deigning to meet a fan on an airport tarmac while their hair is being blown about everywhere? It just goes to show how no request was considered too great by the Fabs in 1964. Witness the sodden Sydney welcome two months later when they agreed to circle the airport perimeter in an open-topped truck.
