Lin

So I finally got finished reading the book, Fab: An Intimate Life of Paul McCartney. Overall I thought it was a pretty good book. I found a few mistakes (such as saying that George Harrison named the Apple Scruffs), and I didn't like how the author added his own opinions of Linda saying that she was not attractive and had a bad singing voice (I happen to like Linda's vocals in many songs and think she was a very pretty woman). But in the big picture of a big book, it wasn't a bad. There were a few little tidbits in there that I hadn't know, and it cleared up a few things that I didn't totally remember or was uncertain about.

What got me was when it got to the part where Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer and she passed away. I cried like I always do! I do not know what I expected, that this time there was going to be a different outcome? It was an extremely touching part of this book. I also did not realize that Paul's current lady, Nancy, has battled breast cancer in the past. Hopefully Paul can handle the emotional issues that come with his fiancee having had a tumor in her breast after losing the two women he always loved the most (his mom and his first wife) to the disease.

  1. I was hoping to read a good review on that book! A small note.. Nancy and Linda were actually in treatment for breast cancer together and that is where/how Paul first met Nancy. They continued to be friends after Linda's passing and, well.. we know the rest!
