Little Willow

I read a today marks 16 years since Ringo's first wife, Maureen, passed away after her battle with leukemia. Maureen was the ultimate fan who lived a fans dream. She was a Beatles fan from way back in Liverpool and used to watch the Beatles perform at the Cavern. She soon found herself with a crush on the drummer and asked him for his autograph! A few weeks later, Ringo and Maureen went out on a date and they married in 1965! What an amazing thing to happen for someone who started out as a fan.

I know things weren't always easy for Maureen. But she always seemed to have so much love for Ringo and her children. Maureen and Ringo divorced in 1975, but they stayed good friends to the end.
I am sure that I have taken most of these photos from the Women of the Beatles blog (one of my favorites!)

  3. Your photos - women of the Beatles? I personally scanned the first four photos from my collection and posted most of them in the Maureen Starr Tribute at Yahoo! groups years ago. Why are you claiming credit? - Lynn

  4. Im sorry I didnt meant that, I meant taken from my blog Im not saying Im taking credit for them and that they're mine. Not at all, sorry if you took it that way I didn't explain what I wanted to say really well. I try to credit as much as I can but some I dont remember where I've taken them. And some of the pics on Maureen Starr Tribute are my scans, and I've never said anything about them simply because I'm not like that and no one has ever credited me for scanning them, only saying that it was a ''random'' internet source when i know that they were posted on my blog & most of the time it was you posting them...I don't know if you're trying to be agressive right there (because it's writing, not words spoken aloud)or whatever but it really isn't necessary, I'm just another Beatle Girl fan...But anyway, even if I scan some stuff or you do, it doesn't belong to us anyway, the scan does but not the actual photo.

  5. It's cool if you didn't mean it that way. The statements "...you can take my photos anytime you want...u always credit me :) thats the way i like things to be..." seemed to me that you were granting permission for others to repost my photos if they credit your blog. -When I post blog photos in my groups and identify them as "source unknown" it's because I can't tell who originally scanned them as they're usually posted on many many blogs the same day with no info about them included. Please add a comment to your photos that I've reposted in any of my groups and I will update the photo captions with your credit. - Lynn

  6. Yeah Im sorry I meant like taking them from my blog but theyre not my photos, I meant more like ''the photos on my blog''. Its my blog, but not my photos haha. Its just that I like when people credit me IF the photos are mine (which in this case, theyre not) thats why I was saying thank you to Sara, because she always does credit others, which a few people do.
