The rim of the photos seems to say March 69. By now I learned that these dates indicate when the photos were developed but now when they were taken. If we assume that the photos were developed pretty soon after they were taken, they sould fall within the timeframe of February 1st (because he sure had a beard before that date) and March 31 1969. The second photo might feature the fence of EMI studios, so possibly taken in the car park there. His hair looks identical in both photos so I think they must have been taken within a very short time.
Since these were taken during the White Album sessions... imagine waiting 7-8 months before developing your photos of Paul McCartney! What was this fan smoking?!
Something good, Cara! They may well have been developed earlier than the March 69 date - but that was the date that this particular print was developed.

ReplyDeleteCorrection: the rim of the FIRST photo - can`t claim to be able to read the rim of the second one.
ReplyDeleteThy're both from the White Album sessions - as you say, the date on the photo rim is when these particular prints were developed.

ReplyDeleteRight car and room ... fans would keep the negatives and delevop more photos for trading with others when needed.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what happened, Sara. We made copies for our friends at a later date. Our originals had the real date stamped on them.
