...like Erral Flynn...

Twice in the past week, I have read or heard someone describe Derek Taylor as being "just like Erral Flynn." Maybe since I am 34 years old, it won't be shocking to hear that I am not familiar with who Erral Flynn was. I looked online and and found out that he was an actor who passed away in 1959. From his photographs, he looked very suave and sophisticated, which is what I assume they were speaking of when they talked about Derek Taylor. Here is a photo of Derek that I scanned from the Autumn 2010 issue of Mojo.

  2. Errol is a strange name, isn't it? I am not much of a movie person and that is the reason most likely why I am not familar with him.

  3. "Gone with the wind" is probably his most famous movie, at least to the people around our generation (30 sthg)

  4. My mistake: Errol Flynn is not in Gone with the Wind at all: Clark Gable is! Errol Flynn is Robin Hood, however. Both color movies made before WWII!
