The leftovers

I have posted a lot of stuff tonight because I have been going through my hard-drive once again and cleaning out stuff I have saved to post on this blog. Here is whatever is left over.

  1. The second photo down is a 1966 shot of Ringo with Debbie Pinter, who is the sister of Stephanie Pinter, Dallas Beatles Fan Club president. Debbie, Stephanie and the club co-VP Yolanda Hernandez were in L.A. in August '66 at the Beatles' press conference at the Capitol Records building -- and that's where this was taken. The group had just received a gold record award for "Revolver" and then the three Dallas girls went up and presented them each with a personalized branding iron. Debbie's wearing a black Stetson. Stephanie and Yolanda had given the group identical black Stetsons in Dallas on September 18, 1964 and also bought the same hat for themselves. The hats the girls gave the group are the ones you see them wearing in the widely-published photos from the Pigman Ranch in Alton, Missouri on September 19, 1964.
