In this photo we have Jean Millington, Yoko, John holding Jean's and Earl's daughter,Marita Madeloni, and Earl Slick in the studio in 1980. For some reason I am really excited that John is holding that baby! Too bad Marita doesn't remember sitting on John's lap these days, but still how cool!!
How cool!!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic, I'd never seen this picture before. It's like there's a seemingly infinite number of Beatles/Lennon picturesout there(incidentally, it looks like they're all posing for another person's camera- wonder if there's other shots from this day).
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
Jean Millington was the bass player for the band Fanny; she (and the band) also did session work for everyone from Barbara Streisand....to Keith Moon! I wouldn't be surprised if John knew Jean and the rest of the girls from Fanny during his L.A. period, especially since they're all over "Two Sides of the Moon" (which John contributed to, as did Ringo and Nilsson, produced by Mal Evans, etc etc....)
ReplyDeleteHi there! I am directing a theatrical documentary about Fanny and would love to find a high resolution copy of this photo to use in the film if possible. Does anyone know who took this photo or has a hi rez copy? Thanks so much! Bobbi Jo Hart bobbigotgameathotmail.com
