Cathy and Abbey Road

There are only two known complete autographs of the Abbey Road album. Complete meaning that all four Beatles signed the album cover. The first one was given to our very own lovely Lizzie Bravo. The UK version of the album had a slick cover and it made it hard to sign, so from what I have seen of the autographs, it looks like the guys sort of carved there name into the cover. I am sure Lizzie can tell us a little more about that.

The second one was given to Cathy Sarver, who is a friend of Lizzies and has commented on this blog. Here I have a photo of Cathy's autographed album. The stain near George's autograph was caused by Cathy's cat peeing on the album. haha! I guess that cat wasn't an Abbey Road fan! And also here are the 4 photos of Cathy and the Beatles. Cathy is the only fan from the 1960's that I know of that took the time to ask each Beatle for an individual photo with each Beatle. What a treasure for her! And look at how happy Ringo looks posing with Cathy! I think that is one of my favorite Ringo fan photos! But then again.....Cathy is a Ringo fan!

  2. Dear Sara, the albums were not given to us, we stood for days on end outside wherever they were, waiting to get the signatures from each one of the boys!

  3. I meant the signatures were given to you girls. That you waited for the guys and that they gave you their autographs on the album. Believe me I understand that you waited for a long long time to receive them!

  4. Both my album and Cathy's have Paul's signature looking more like Raul than Paul. In my particular case, one of the fans accidentally bumped into him.

  5. Lizzie, do you still have the autographed album ? I´d love to see some pictures of that ! What other autographed items do you have ? I am very into Beatles autographs. That´s how I found this blog, by the way...

  6. Tiago, I sold both my Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper years ago for a ton of money (of course they are worth MUCH more now). I still have several signed items which will be in my book. I had many more which I sold. I think I had 16 John autographs to begin with. I would have to count to be sure, but it's somewhere around that. I'm not very attached to autographs. I am a self-confessed photo junkie! Go to this blog and you'll see both my covers: http://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/beatlessigned-abbey-road
