This John Lennon item is currently on ebay. I was wondering if anyone knew any more about the story of the girl who just knocked on John's door and obtained an autograph. Anyone? Here is the url for the auction
As explained in the included letter of authenticity from its original recipient, this signature was obtained by a fan at Lennon's home in Surrey.
On May 12th, 1966, she simply knocked on his front door and John himself answered. After a brief converation, he signed her autograph book (and her copy of "In His Own Write" book).
A fantastic blue ink signature with no problems at all. Small "12/5/66" written at the top of the page by the recipient.
