Mark in Help!

One of the things I have loved the most about this blog is how (with
a few exceptions of people wanting their photos or stories removed) much people have been enjoying this blog and have wanted to share their experiences and photos with me (and with all of you!). It is really hard for me to believe that it was exactly one year ago tonight that I had the "great idea" to have a blog to share all of my Beatles fan photos. I have been into finding the dates of Beatles photos for several years, and along the way had collected a vast amount of photos taken by fans, most of which are next to impossible to find the exact date for. I want to thank each of the 80 followers and other visitors for helping me along the way. I have no plans on slowing down. This first year is just a start!

Back on September 1, 2009, I posted a story that I found in a back issue of Beatlefan magazine about a young man who was an extra on the set of the movie, Help! If you haven't read the article, please go back now and do so. It is an amazing story! Not too long ago, someone named Shelly decided to google her father's name. And guess what she found? The story that I posted about the kid who was an extra in Help. Only that kid was her father! In the original story, it is said how her father posed with a photo of John Lennon. She noticed that John Lennon photo wasn't on my blog and she took the time to scan her father's copy along with another photo of her Dad with Paul in the background and sent those photos to share with you all. I want to take this opportunity to thank Shelly and her father, Mark, for being so kind and generous with these rare photographs. I am sure I speak for all of the viewers of this blog, when I say "Wow! you met The Beatles! Thank you so much for sharing your memories and photos with those of us who never had that chance."
