Right before I got on this 1966 tour kick, I went through my collection of "modern" Beatle Book Monthly magazine. I scanned a lot of photos out of them, but I had intended to share these particular ones on this blog. I think it is interesting to see a 1963 era Paul surrounded by a group of devoted fans. Let's hope these girls hung on to their Paul McCartney autographs!
Paul McCartney
ReplyDeletePaul McCartney will be returning to the stage with his “Up and Coming” Tour. McCartney is the most successful musician and composer in popular music history with sixty plus platinum and gold records. He has sold over one hundred million songs. The tour, which kicks off March 28th in Phoenix AZ, marks his first live appearance since his 2005. The tour moves onto California two days later when McCartney will return to the Hollywood Bowl. The March 30th show is the first time McCartney has played at the venue since 1963. He performed with the Beatles the first time around.

A few comments:
ReplyDelete1. Paul has been appearing live almost every year SINCE 2005. He just did a big concert in London in December. And last sumemr he did several concerts in the USA. Huh?
2. I think that is cool that Paul is returning to the Hollywood Bowl. However....basic Beatles knowledge is that the Beatles came to America in Feb. 1964. So how on earth could Paul have performed there in 1963???
Myself and others who read this blog are some serious, die-hard Beatles freaks. We know dates, times and what color socks Paul wore on what occassion (ok...maybe not that far, but pretty close to it!). Please don't cut and past untrue things....it just makes you look silly.
