Nancy and Ringo with Paul and Linda
Nancy Andrews is a name that many Beatle fans either aren't familar with or if they know who she is, they have a dislike for her. Nancy Lee Andrews was Ringo Starr's former girlfriend and fiancee from 1975-1980. Why do so many dislike her? After Ringo left her for Barbra in 1980, Nancy sued Ringo in a very public battle for palamony. I personally dont' think she was a gold digger. The woman lived with Ringo and he started to cheat on her with Barbara. I think Ringo did owe her a little something to get herself back on her feet again. But that is just me. Anyhow....I met Nancy at Beatlefest this past summer (see photo) and I was amazed by her beauty and charm. She gave me wonderful advice that I will be eternally thankful for. Nancy took some candid photos of Ringo that I will be posting, but first I wanted everyone to know who she is.
I think Nancy just wanted money since Ringo had lots. Simple as that and it's sad people sue for no reason
ReplyDeleteI kindly have to disagree with you. She and Ringo were living together and were to get married. He ran off with Barbara and left her behind without as much as an explanation. She did not have money to move out of the home where they lived and needed something to get back on her feet again. Nancy is an extremely kind woman and only has nice things to say about Ringo.
Deletedidn't know about the palimony suit or that people disliked her; did she not have a job during her Ringo time? or a ring to cash in for some money?
ReplyDeletepalimony? she should have worked like the rest of us
DeleteI live in London and have known both Ringo and his lovely wife, Barbara Bach, for some years now. I know him well enough to call him "Ringo" - He HATES that, lol!
ReplyDeleteCall him Richie.
DeleteTrue. Nancy also called him "Richard".
DeleteI am Nancy's cousin. I can vouch for what a kind person Nancy is. We were visiting her in LA back in Feb and in May of 1980. Ringo was actually in Mexico filming the movie with Barbara Bach. I do remember he sent Nancy a hundred red roses on Valentine's Day that year. By May, the relationship had ended. He had his Rolls Royce parked in her garage at the time (my then-boyfriend and I sat in it and smoked an entire pack of his Dunhill cigarettes). To even think she is a golddigger is entirely without any reasoning. She is a very gentle soul.
ReplyDeletedon't know Nancy but seriously how many broken up couples sue for palimony
ReplyDeletehow much $ did she make off him?
