Is John wearing a Beatles t-shirt?

 

I shared this on "X" a few weeks ago and got mixed results.  These are some screen shots from a film shot by Jonus Meekus.  It sure looks to my bad eyes that it is the same as the shirt I posted above.  This was from 1971 -- there weren't a whole lot of Beatles t-shirts in the early 1970s that I am aware of.  I wish we coud see it better.

Rumors

 

There are rumors that George Harrison had an affair with Stevie Nicks.  As far as I know, that is not true and most likely started because George (and Olivia) attended a party for the album (funny enough), Rumors by Fleetwood Mac in Acapulco in 1977. 

Also,  I wanted to include this photo of the shirt that George was wearing at the party because how often do you see a Beatle wearing a Beatles t-shirt?

Beatles Kingdom

The Beatles Kingdom was an American Chartered Fan Club from 1969-1971 (then the name was changed to the Apple Kingdom).   I wonder if this is an old t-shirt that someone from the club sent to Paul back in 1969.   It does sort of look like the logo for the club...

I think Paul needs to wear this Wings shirt again in concert and he needs to be selling them at the shows.  Who is with me?

Love and t-shirts

Throughout his New York Years, you often saw John wearing a variety of t-shirts that said "Home."  "Home was the name of a New York restaurant that John frequented the owner, Richardoften gave him t-shirts (gee--what better advertisement than John Lennon?)  As a matter of fact, one of John's old "Home" t-shirts hit the auction block and went for $16,400--making it one of the top five most expensive t-shirts ever.

Also up for auction is this Walls and Bridges album that is autographed by John to the owners of home.   I think it is really neat that he signed it "love and t-shirts.'"
