Rolling Stone has contacted a woman who says that she believes Adrienne from Brooklyn is her mother, who passed away in 1992. According to the article, her mother was a Beatles fan and played Beatles music around the house when she was a child. After her mother's death, she found Beatles records with "Adrienne loves Paul" written on them with a heart around it. She also purchased Beatles memorabilia at one point. She said to recognize the voice as being her mom's right away and sent the clip to one of her brothers, and he agreed.
Adrienne lived in Brooklyn her entire life but had a rough childhood. She would frequently play hooky from school and hitch a ride into the City and often hung around Murry the K's events going on during that time frame. I believe she would have been in the 9th grade (around 14 years old?) when The Beatles came to America and were in the Plaza Hotel. If she had been a Murry the K follower, then there is no doubt that she would have known all about when and where the Beatles were staying. I am convinced this is the right Adrienne.
The next year, when she was 15, she fell in love, and when she was 16, she was pregnant with her first child, a son. However, she was not able to get married until she was 18, which happened in 1967. The couple had 4 children. She lived a happy life with her family but sadly her life was cut short in 1992 when she contracted cancer.
Such a sad ending to what could have been an exciting story. But -- there has to be more to this story. Who are the girls in the footage with her? Who else was interviewed by CBS? I am not done digging for more information.
