While vacationing in Hawaii recently, Paul McCartney made the mistake of taking on the rough surf near Koko Head, five miles outside of Honolulu.
"I was being dragged out and dragged back in by the waves, and I wasn't sure if I was eventually going to be dragged in or all the way out," said McCartney.
Paul made it back in one piece, however, after getting banged up on the rocks. Appearing at a party in orange zoris and a large bandage on his right foot, he observed, "Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out into the noonday sun and choppy Hawaiian surf."
