Walking through the hotel



I love this photo!  Look at those girls in the background trying to get to the Beatles.  Why is John carrying his own guitar?  Where is Mal to do that for him?  Everything about this photo is awesomeness.

    John is carrying his own guitar because Rickenbacker just delivered his new 1964 Rickenbacker 325 (white pickguard) to the hotel. He is taking it to the rehearsals and using it for the first time. He came over to the states with his 1958 Rickenbacker 325 (gold pickguard).

      It is still interesting to see John carry the guitar in. New or not, you would have thought one of the roadies would have insisted on carrying it. But John must have been happy to be carrying his new gear!
