Can anyone tell me who the kid in this photo is and why Ringo is holding up "My first software?" Is this kid going to teach Ringo how to use a computer?

It seems it was for a TV commercial for a CD-Rom called "My First Software". Never knew about this Ringo project till now and I can't seem to find a year when it was made. Possibly mid 1993. here's the Youtube link for the TV ad:
