John's leather cap

 

I just found out this little tidbit about these photos.  John is wearing the exact same cap that was made for him by Helen Anderson in Liverpool.    You know the classic leather cap that John wore all the time during the Beatles years?   Here he during the Plastic Ono Band era still wearing his favorite cap.

These snapshots are of the house that the Beatles were staying in during their time off in Los Angeles in 1965.   The girls here are trying to see if The Beatles were taking a swim because they could get a halfway decent view of them from the road.   Some brave girls scaled down the hill that you see and a few really dedicated fans rented a helicopter and flew over the house.

I don't think the fan that took this photo of John's pool wanted to take a picture of all those trees.  I bet she was trying to get the "magic eye" in the pool.   Darn you film cameras of the past!
