Fan club Christmas card
![]() |
| From Sara Schmidt's collection |
Here is a fan club item I obtained this year.....a Christmas card sent to British fan club secretaries. It was "signed" by the Beatles (most likely signed by someone at the Fan Club Office in London). I love having items like this in my collection and wanted to share this with all of you.

A Christmas card from George and Pattie
George thought this photograph of him was so funny that he decided to turn it into a Christmas card! Here is the card that was sent out to Robert and Sonny Freeman from George and Pattie.

Birthday Cards for Collin
In reading Pattie Boyd's book, you get the feeling that during the trip to India in 1968, it was a big deal when it was someone in the Ashram's birthday. We have seen the birthday photos from George and Pattie's birthday. Here are some cards made by the Beatle girls for one of the fellow meditator's, a guy named Collin. The cards were made by Cynthia, Jane and Pattie with some help by George. Pretty neat stuff! They are from March, after Ringo had left.

Trying to act normal again
These two photos show Paul and Brian on the plane to New Dheli after departing Manila. Neither one of them look too happy, but are trying to get back to the normal routine, although I am not sure what exactly Brian is doing---playing a game of some sort?

Flying
I always find dating the photos from the time the Beatles were in Japan to be a bit confusing because they lost a day due to the International Date Line. They left Alaska early in the morning on June 28, 1966 and basically lost that day and spent June 29, 1966 flying to Tokyo.
