Wings banner

 

I love it when I discover something a fan gave one of the guys was actually used.  Marie Lacey shared on Facebook that this amazing Wings banner was made in 1973 by Sil Perrone, and then another fan chimed in and said that Pattie O'Neil helped with it.   I don't know how they got it to Paul, but it is seen at the beginning and the end of the "Helen Wheels" promo video.   

By the way, MPL has posted a cleaned-up version of "Helen Wheels" on YouTube, and it looks SO much better than it has ever looked.   

My next wondering is where is this banner today?  It really is beautiful and should be displayed somewhere like a museum or at least in a private collection.

As usual, fans said goodbye to the Fab 4 as they left London.   Some pretty interesting banners to read---very creative fans I must say!

Roman fans

I love how in these European tour photos, we see the guys getting into Beatlemania more than what we see in photos from the U.K. or the U.S.   We know that guys were totally into the Beatles in 1965, but they weren't as likely to show it due to a variety of reasons.   However, in France and Italy we see guys who are totally into the Beatles.  See the one happy guy holding the Paul photograph? Or those group of fellows working up a sweat dancing to the Beatles?     I think it is great!

I love (or should I saw luv) this photo!   It shows a father and daughter that worked together to make this awesome Beatles banner for the Cow Palace show in 1964.    I think it is really creative and a fun banner.   Sadly....it was taken by security before the concert even started.   And the fan is still upset about it to this day!    (I don't blame her!)

I couldn't find any information about this adorable photo.  I just think these four girls in their Lennon caps are so sweet.
