August 26-27, 1966 the Beatles spent some well needed rest at a home in Los Angeles where they spent time with pool---the type that you swim in and the type you play.

Awards for Help album
so first the Beatles were presented with some sort of "Beatle bug" from who I would guess to be a fan club president (love how John is just standing there holding it in the first photo) then they were awarded gold records for the album "Help!" and after that stood around the signed autographs and did some individual interviews. They don't look too happy in any of the photos.

Having all Four Beatles together with "Help" in the background at the Capitol Records tower made for a great photo opportunity!
