The give away
On July 31, 1968, The Beatles had one of the best endings to a business that I know of. When the Apple Boutique in London was not making the money they expected, the gave away the leftover stock and closed the doors. Since this happened in the midst of the summer, fans were in London from all around the globe in hopes of seeing the Beatles. When the news went that the Beatles were giving away things from Apple, they flocked to the shop to take home a souvenir, even if it was just hanger or a piece of carpet (although most fans hoped to take home an actual article of clothing).

Number 1
I found this photo online and whoever originally posted it blurred out the fan's face. I am not sure why -- but it is a lovely photo of Paul.

37 years and counting
Tomorrow (April 27) will be Ringo and Barbara's 37th wedding anniversary. These two lovebirds are the one couple that has been married the longest of the Beatle boys. I just love these two. They seem to be such a good fit together and are supportive and loving towards one another. Best wishes to them and some photographs that were taken at their wedding ceremony in 1981.

BBC photo shoot
55 years ago these class Beatles photographs were taken. They are some of my all-time favorites. Back in the 1990's I had a "Live at the BBC" T-shirt that I wore ALL the time because I loved the cover photo so much.

Devastated fans
When the news of Brian Epstein's death broke 50 years ago today, some fans came to his house on Chapel St. in London. They look pretty shocked by the news.
