Get your photo taken with John at the Hit Factory
October 16, 1980 -
This is the day where John must have said, "If you wanna get a photo with me, today is the day" because there are a lot of photos of people standing next to John this day at the Hit Factory. A few "new" ones have been hitting the auctions lately. I am happy to add them to the group!

April 1968
This photograph of John with a fan was taken in April 1968 - which was an interesting time in John's life. He had recently returned from India and was about to get together with Yoko. In spite of all going on in his personal life, he took the time to meet with this fan who came to his door at Kenwood. And once again, he is standing in his famous "Kenwood" stance.

Outside of Kinfauns
Here is a photo that seems to be making the rounds these days----not sure who is standing in the middle. It looks to have been taken around the time the Beatles went to Greece.

Love this!!!!
So over at the Kenwood blog, this was posted over the holiday. I love this photo too much not to share it over here as well. And really...what isn't there to love in this photo. Lizzie you said that you think you have a color copy of this photo? Can you let us know what color John's shirt John is wearing?

The Lennon fan stance

How often did we see John standing in this pose for a fan's photo? Much thanks goes to our friend, Sean at the Kenwood blog for the top photos. Just a side note, but we have some really amazing Beatles blog out there right now. And I am just so honored to be associated with great Beatle fans who are always willing to share stories and photos with each other. I really do think that is what being a Beatle fan is about.....a sense of community. Alright...back to regularly scheduled fan photos.

Kenwood 1966

John does his typical "standing outside of Kenwood" stance for a fan's camera. This is the earliest fan photo I have seen of John standing outside of Kenwood. According to the site that I found it, the photo was in a fan's scrapbook for many years and was written "1966" next to the photo. Interesting that John is wearing the "red and white striped shirt" that the guys all seemed to wear in the mid-1960's.

More from Sue Baker

While searching the Internet in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep, I discovered that the news reports on Sue Baker's Beatles photos use different photographs! Sue is quoted as saying, "I just hope someone gets enjoyment out of them. They bring back great memories for me." If only Sue knew the amount of enjoyment I personally have been getting out of these photos. This has honestly been the highlight of the week for me. Her photos have made me smile and I am so thankful that she decided to share ALL of them with the news organizations before she sells them. Honestly, she doesn't need to sell them. I think it would make more sense to put them in a book (such as one that Lizzie is planning) of fan photos. Anyhow..... I want to thank Susan Baker for sharing her wonderful photos with the Beatles community after all of these years.

John's Kenwood stance

When I was going through my John Lennon photos from his home at Kenwood, I realized that John liked to pose with his hands on his hips outside of his home. Look at all of the photos where he is standing like that (or a close variation of it...such as his hands in his pocket on his hip.) This wasn't a normal way for John stand. I wonder why he stood like that at his house?
