Happy Birthday James!

I could write an entire book about how much I like James McCartney.   Truth be told, I do have a little crush on him.   Haven't heard too much from James lately -- I hope he has a new album in the works.

Happy birthday James!

The boy that never smiles

Little James is so adorable.   Some people just don't smile for photographs.   It doesn't mean he isn't happy.

Happy Birthday Heather

Photo copyright belongs to Sara Schmidt. Do not use without permission

Wishing Heather  McCartney a very happy birthday today.   Heather is always the one "Beatle kid" that has my sympathy.    She was thrown into the spotlight at a young age because her mom married one of the Beatles.   Suddenly, every Beatle fan wanted to talk to the cute little girl.   She was often bratty towards the fans, and then she retreated into herself and was into punk music and her own thing.    While her little sisters have been extremely successful in their careers, Heather has stayed way out of the spotlight.     Really the last I have heard from her was in the early 2000s when she launched her own pottery line.

Rumors say that she lives a quiet life in Arizona.  Rumors also claim that she struggles with mental illness.   I hope that wherever Heather is today,  that she is happy and has found peace away from her family's fame.    I hope she gets to celebrate her birthday today with cake, friends, and laughter.

Happy Birthday Linda!

Today marks Linda McCartney's 77th birthday.     While I understand why many fans dislike Linda, I personally admire her and think she was a strong woman.  I wish I was a little more like Linda.     Here's to Linda on the day of her birth!

Lennon and McCartney (the second generation)

I know this photo has been popping up all over the place lately.    It is a  nice photo.    You can see in both of these musicians the physical likeness to each of their fathers, which is why it makes everyone so excited to see.

However -- I love the fact that Sean and James get together and hang out.   James has a guitar.  Maybe they sat around and played together.   Maybe Sean will be on James' next album (Dhani was on his last one).    It warms my heart that the Beatles kids are like cousins to one another.    James and Sean don't even need to know one another.    The Beatles were long broken up by the time they were born.   Paul and John weren't spending time together.    Yet, here they are and it really warms my heart.

Father Paul

Paul has five kids:  Heather, Mary, Stella, James, and Bea.    Each of them is unique and talented in his/her own way.    Paul raised a great group and he has a lot to be proud of.

37 years and counting

Tomorrow (April 27) will be Ringo and Barbara's 37th wedding anniversary.    These two lovebirds are the one couple that has been married the longest of the Beatle boys.    I just love these two.   They seem to be such a good fit together and are supportive and loving towards one another.    Best wishes to them and some photographs that were taken at their wedding ceremony in 1981.

Linda -- the mother

First and foremost Linda McCartney was a wonderful mother of four children:  Heather, Mary, Stella, and James.

Thanksgiving with the McCartney family

Photo taken by Linda McCartney

Paul shared this photo today of his family in the 1980's having a Thanksgiving meal.   Interesting that this British family would celebrate Thanksgiving, but with Linda being American, I would bet that she wanted to celebrate besides, when you are a McCartney, you have a lot to be thankful for.

Best wishes Nancy!

Wishing Nancy Shevell a very happy birthday.   She has been good for Paul and has been nice to the fans.   It can't be exactly easy being married to Paul McCartney (although it is a task that I am sure many of you out there would be willing to tackle), and I think she does a good job of being Mrs. McCartney while still being Nancy Shevell.
