Who is Aunt Milly and why should she come back
The sign was displayed during the broadcast and 400 million people around the globe saw it while they watched the Beatles perform.
One of those 400 million people was, you guessed it Milly Kendall. Angie McCartney wrote in her book, My Long and Winding Road, "Milly told us she had not long arrived and was tired and exhausted from her journey. But they had the telly on in the next room and she was half watching the screen when suddenly this placard came up. She was flabbergasted , as at this stage we were not as tech saturated as we are now. It was a real link between our two hemispheres."
No one knows if Milly really was going to stay in Australia indefinitely, but after a short time she came right back to England. I guess you can say that the sign worked.
Let's hear it for Eppy
These are the last photographs that I am aware of that show Brian Epstein with members of the Beatles. I like these photos because Brian seems relaxed and happy around the guys. I am sure he was proud of the Beatles during the recording of "All you need is love."

The Beatles with sandwich boards
It was 50 years ago this weekend that the Beatles universal song "All you Need is Love" was first heard. I think the simple message of the song is still as important today as it was 50 years ago. I have always loved these publicity photos of the guys with "All you need is love" sandwich boards in many different languages. The ultimate advertisement for love. Try to spread a little love to those around you this weekend.
All you need are these two fellows
If these photos of George and Ringo don't put a smile on your face, then I think you came to this blog by mistake.

Summer of Love Contest!
If you were able to join me on Facebook for the live broadcast tonight, you will already know about "the Summer of Love" contest.
Between today (June 1) and June 11, I am giving away one Summer of Beatles Love gift bag! Here is what is in the bag:
- double sided Sgt. Pepper Beatles shopping bag
- An "all you need is love" picture to hang in your house
- a George Harrison keychain with Richard Avadon photo
- Sgt. Pepper magazine (the one that is currently out on the shelves)
- Sgt. Pepper flip book
- 2 Sgt. Pepper picks
- A Sgt. Pepper hot wheels car
One blog reader will win all of these wonder goodies! All you have to do is email me at meetthebeatlesforreal@gmail.com and tell me the name of your favorite song from the summer of 1967! It doesn't have to be a Beatles song. However, my favorite is "All you need is love."
This contest is open to anyone anywhere in the world. Just one entry per household. I will collect the names of those entered and will assign each person a number. Then on June 11 at around 8pm (Central Time), I will use the random number generator online and get the number of our winner! It is that easy! The name of the winner will be announced here on this blog as well as the Meet the Beatles...for Real facebook page.
Once the winner is announced, he/she has three days to contact me with his/her mailing address. If after three days the winner does not come forward, he/she loose the opportunity and I will pick another number.
Have a great summer Beatle friends!
Peace and Love!

Thank you!
I want to thank everyone who has written to me through comments and on facebook that supports me and this blog. Your support really means a lot to me and I cannot express how much your messages touched me.
You know, I do this blog because I want a place to keep the stories and photos of the fans. I started the blog for myself and I continue to do things the way I like them to be done. That being said, it really is an honor that MTBFR has become part of so many of your daily routines.
As for the accusations that I am liar, I am not sure what to say. I am never purposely a liar. I work hard to find the correct information to post. I admit that some nights I am lazy and I do not put as much effort in finding out things as I do on other nights. I also know that there is a lot of false information about the Beatles out in the world. I am thankful for friend of this blog, Mark Lewisohn's work in getting the true Beatles history in print. But I am not Mark Lewisohn---far far from it. I try my best and I might get some wrong information out. But I promise that my intentions are pure. One thing I love about the internet and this blog is that we can work together as Beatle fans to find the correct information. Alone I am not a Beatles expert, but with all of you working with me---this blog has turned into a goldmine of correct Beatles information. I am proud of it and I thank all of you who have been positive and helpful along the way.
I am not sure why I seem to have made some enemies except that they must be jealous in one way or another. The arguments that they make do not make a lot of sense to me and when I try to understand them, I end up being called "rude" and "immature" and other things, so I am done trying to understand. I do admit that I have been not so nice to some people online a few times. I get frustrated and irritated and while I never curse and try to stay calm, it isn't always easy to do. I apologize for that.
But at the end of the day we are all Beatle fans, right? Shouldn't we be sticking together? We are a special group of people and we should not be divided. We can disagree on things, but at the end of the day we love John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
Peace and Love,
Sara S.

There she is again!
So who is the girl in the glasses? I see her in a TON of photos of the All You Need is Love reception and in almost all of them she is standing close to one of the Beatles (can't blame her on that one.) Is she a reporter or a just a fan who is hanging out? Since she is holding paper, I would guess that she is a reporter, although she could always be a fan who has decided to suddenly become a reporter for a school paper in order to meet the Beatles.
