All you need is the Love show

I am going to see the Beatles' Love show in Las Vegas tonight (finally!)   I thought I would post a few photos from the premiere in 2006.      I have waited 11 years to see this show---longer than the Beatles were even together.   Whoo hoo!

Love the Brother

I do this all of the time.  I save a photo that I find online to my hard drive and then I don't remember who is in the photo.   All I know is that this person met Ringo Starr in 2006.    This is Ken Mansfield with Ringo in 2006.  Thanks Mark for jogging my memory.

The drummer

Something you will no longer see:   Ringo Starr signing a drum head in a parking garage.   Although he will stop and pose for photos at times.   From what I can tell, he sort of feels out the situation.   If there aren't many people and they seem like true fans he will pose for photos, and often have Barbara take the photos.

Esculating Excitement

I can only begin to imagine the excitement that fan felt as Paul started to come down that escalator and got closer and closer to her.    And then to touch her hand and look into her camera, just look at her excitement!  What a moment for her!

Meeting Ringo at an airport in 2006!

Photos removed by request of photographer 1/12/17

Some times I run across fan photos and I just am dying to know the story behind them. This is the case for this set of Ringo photos from 2006. Obviously some fans (looks like a family of fans??) met Ringo at an airport. But it is not 1964 and Beatle fans these days do not storm airports waiting to see the Beatles. Sure I would be up for it if anyone wants to join me, but seriously.....it just isn't done any longer. So what was the deal? How did these fans get down on the tarmac and have photo ops with the best drummer of the best band in the world?
