It wasn't this trip but 2 years later in the 'more popular than Jesus' debacle in 1966, but it fits this photo well. I love GH's witticism becuase it's typically rough and sharp Liverpool irony. Can't recall the source interview or even who was interviewed, either GH himself or Neil Aspinal I think. Was it on Beatles Anthology outtake interviews on the Special Features disc? Or in The Beatles Anthology book? Maybe someone can enlighten on a source for GH's great Scouse remark on touchdown: "Let John go down first. He's the one they want."
