This weekend we learned of the death of both Dick Gregory and Jerry Lewis. Both of these influential men met with John and Yoko during the year of 1972.

Jerry Lee Lewis is still very much alive. You meant Jerry Lewis. What a huge loss for anyone who grew up in the 1950s and 1960s like me. There was nothing funnier for a kid than to see a grown man acting like a kid on the big screen. He was the Beatles before the Beatles! Not the nicest man later in life, but no one can deny his immense talent, his comedic influence and his philanthropy.

ReplyDeleteYes yes---I always get those two confused. Jerry Lewis is the comedian and the Jerry LEE Lewis is the musician. For some reason my brain always gives the comedian the middle name instead of the musician.
